News » The Krakow Opera in Berlin
Beautiful costumes, unusual headdress, recordings of fragments of performances – these are just a few of the attractions in store for visitors to the Krakow Opera stand at the ITB in Berlin on 10–14 March, one of several music institutions represented at the Polish pavilion. As it is the first presentation of the Krakow Opera at an international trade fair, it has been prepared with utmost care for even the smallest details.
Its slogan ‘A Day in Krakow. A Night at the Opera’ is visually expressed by two symbols: a royal crown, standing for Krakow, and a bowtie, an indispensable component of a gentleman’s formal outfit. The project team have also prepared new publications highlighting the operatic traditions of Krakow and the whole Malopolska region, with attractive photographs of productions staged in the nearly sixty years of that opera company’s history. Those visitors to the Krakow Opera stand who fill in a questionnaire will take part in a drawing of lots for invitations to a performance at the Krakow Opera, a dinner at the Opera Restaurant, and two nights at a hotel in Krakow.
