We are going to finish the Carnival with a Shrove Tuesday concert which, for many years, has held the same title “New Year’s in Vienna, Carnival’s End in Krakow”. This year, the date of the concert is special since it will take place on the eve of Valentine’s Day to which we would like to make reference. Thus, duets, mainly married couples, are going to perform on the stage of the Kraków Opera. These are: Agnieszka and Tomasz Kuk, Katarzyna and Andrzej Lampert, Monika Korybalska and Krzysztof Kozarek, Ewa and Grzegorz Biegas, Kristina and Michał Kutnik as well as Małgorzata and Janusz Ratajczak. The orchestra of the Kraków Opera, conducted by Tomasz Tokarczyk, will accompany the soloists.

The program of the evening includes duets from operas, operettas and musicals such as “Carmen” by G. Bizet, “The Gypsy Princess” by E. Kálmán nad “The Phantom of the Opera” by A. L. Webber. We will also hear the hit singles: “Ich liebe dich” from a film “The Charm of La Bohème” by R. Stolz, “Walc Embarras” by J. Wasowski and “Felicità” by C. Minellono.
