Katarzyna Oleś-Blacha Receives Professor’s Title from President of the Republic of Poland

A soloist of the Kraków Opera, a lecturer at the Krzysztof Penderecki Music Academy in Kraków, yet first and foremost an outstanding artist. Dramatic and coloratura soprano. Professionally involved with our Theatre since 2006.
Pursuant to the decision of Andrzej Duda, President of the Republic of Poland, of 22 April 2021, Katarzyna Oleś-Blacha was honoured with the professor's title.

“This is a confirmation of the quality of teaching and the aspects that are of major importance in art, namely craftsmanship and reliable knowledge on every subject. I am deeply convinced that I would not have been the artist that I am if it was not for my pupils and students. I learnt a lot from my graduates; they instil me with hope for the future. I would not have delved into the arcana of vocals and the phenomenon of operatic singers if I was not teaching at the Academy,” says Katarzyna Oleś-Blacha.

We would like to congratulate our soloist on this great distinction and wish her many artistic and didactic successes.
